From input to answer.
- Open All Tools → Jobs and create a job. Add an area when useful.
- Complete a calculation, open its History and choose Save to Job.
- Choose the job and area, give the calculation a useful name and save it.
- Open the saved record from Jobs to review its inputs and results. Open in calculator starts a working copy; save an update or a new record deliberately.
WORKED EXAMPLE
Keeping kitchen layout marks
Enter
Create a job called Cedar House and an area called Kitchen. Save a Light Layout with 2 rows of 4 centres in a 12 ft 6 in × 17 ft 8 in room.
Read the result
The saved record retains the layout context and its results. A useful name such as “Ceiling layout — revision 1” makes it easier to find alongside later work.
Get more from it.
- Use names that identify location and purpose, not just a number.
- When a site dimension changes, reopen the record, edit the working copy and intentionally save the revision.
- Use available export/backup options and keep your own copy of important records.
Know the limits.
- Records are local app data, not a shared project-management service or automatic team sync.
- Saved calculations inherit the assumptions and limitations of their original tool.
Verify the inputs, applicable local requirements and real conditions. The app is a calculation aid and can contain errors. See our terms and safety disclaimer.
Common questions.
Does opening a record overwrite it?
No. Opening it in a calculator creates a working copy. Updating the saved record is an explicit action.
Do I need a Calctric account?
No Calctric account is required for this local workflow.
