Calctric can make mistakes. Do not rely on the app or this website as the sole basis for electrical work, material selection, fabrication or safety decisions.

A calculation aid

Calctric provides calculation and layout aids for informational and planning purposes. Outputs may contain errors, omissions, rounding effects, incorrect assumptions or outdated information. Independently verify all inputs, units, settings, formulas, measurements and results before use. Stop and seek qualified guidance whenever a result is uncertain or inconsistent.

Local codes, laws and site requirements

You are responsible for checking and following the currently applicable electrical codes, provincial or territorial amendments, municipal bylaws, laws, regulations, permit and inspection requirements, manufacturer instructions and site safety procedures. Confirm requirements with the authority having jurisdiction—the local body responsible for enforcing the rules. A reference to CEC 2024 or NEC 2026 does not establish which edition or requirements apply to your work.

Specific tool limitations

• Tape-measure calculator: displayed fractions round to the nearest 1/16 inch. Check that this precision is suitable for your task.
• Voltage drop: conductor selection addresses voltage drop only. It does not verify ampacity, overcurrent protection, derating, terminations, minimum permitted sizes or overall installation compliance. CEC mode excludes parallel conductors and some special Table D3 conditions. NEC mode uses the selected Table 8, Table 9, estimate or supplied-data method within its stated assumptions; support for parallel sets does not establish that a particular arrangement is permitted.
• Conduit bending: layouts are geometric estimates. Verify bender data, mark references, springback, grip and clearance against your actual equipment. The 3D view does not certify fit, collision clearance or fabrication order. Physical-tool validation is still in progress.

Professional judgment and safe work

The app does not replace a qualified electrician, engineer, inspector, current codebook or manufacturer’s instructions. It does not authorize anyone to perform regulated work or remove the need for required qualifications, safe isolation, permits or inspections.

Availability and warranties

Calctric is in development. Features, appearance and availability may change. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app and website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted operation.

Responsibility and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Calctric and its developer disclaim liability for loss, damage, injury, costs or other consequences arising from reliance on calculations, diagrams or information provided by the app or website. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits your non-waivable statutory rights.

Copyright and third-party references

Original Calctric software, website text and presentation are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws to the extent those laws apply. Third-party names, marks, standards and materials remain the property of their respective owners. The copyright notice does not claim ownership of electrical standards, calculation methods or third-party materials.

CEC references identify CSA C22.1:24. NEC references identify the selected NEC 2026 method. NEC and NFPA are registered trademarks of the National Fire Protection Association. Calctric is not affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by CSA Group, NFPA or the tool manufacturers named in the app. Consult official publications; this website does not reproduce the code tables.

App Store terms

Any App Store download or purchase is also subject to the applicable Apple terms and the license agreement supplied with the app. These website notices do not override mandatory consumer rights or Apple’s applicable distribution terms.
