This policy covers Calctric for iOS and Android, including preview and testing versions, and the website calctric.ca. Calctric is operated by an independent developer. For privacy questions and requests, contact calctric@gmail.com.

App calculations stay on your device

Calctric performs its calculations on your device. It does not require an account, include advertising or third-party analytics, track you across apps or websites, or automatically send your calculations or saved records to the developer.

Calculation inputs and recent calculation history are held in memory for the app session. Both apps store your electrical-region preference locally. On iOS, custom bender profiles and saved field-test records are also stored locally. Those saved-record features are not currently included in the Android version covered by this policy.

Device backups and local deletion

Your device or account settings may include app data in a backup or transfer it to another device. On iOS, Apple manages device backups under its own terms. On Android, app backup is enabled; Google or your device manufacturer may back up or transfer eligible local app data according to your device, Android version and settings. Calctric does not operate its own cloud backup or receive those backup copies.

Deleting the app removes its local app data. On Android, you can also clear the app’s storage in system settings. Restoring a device backup may restore previously saved data. Deleting local data does not delete reports you have already sent or copies retained by your backup, email or sharing provider.

Optional in-app problem reports

Reports are optional. Neither app automatically uploads a problem report to Calctric. Review the information before sharing and leave out confidential customer, employer and job-site information.

iOS

The report can include the app version/build, generic device model, iOS version, capture time, selected tool, input values and calculation result or error, together with the description, expected result and steps you enter. Where a calculation snapshot is available, you can turn off its inclusion. Reports do not automatically include your full calculation history or saved field-test notes.

You can copy or share the report. Where available, Email report opens a mail composer; you decide whether to send it. The report is held in memory unless you choose to copy, share or send it.

Android

Where Report a problem is available, the app displays the tool name and its current calculation snapshot for review. The snapshot may include input values, selected options and results or an error. Share report opens the system share sheet so you can choose an email or other app. The Android report does not currently have the iOS snapshot-off toggle or the same in-app description fields and email composer. If you do not want to share the snapshot, dismiss the report and contact us separately with only the information you choose to provide.

The Android report does not automatically add your full calculation history, device model or Android version. You may provide additional details in your chosen email or sharing app. Opening the report does not send it to us.

When you send a report

Your chosen email or sharing provider handles the information you pass to it under its own terms. If you send a report to Calctric, we receive its contents, your email address or other sender details supplied by that service, and anything else you include. We use this information to investigate, respond and improve the app, under the support, retention and deletion practices below.

Website feedback and email

The feedback form collects the topic and app area you select, your description, and optional app/device details and reply email. You may submit without an email address. We use this information to investigate problems, evaluate suggestions and respond when you provide contact details. Feedback is not published on this website and is not used to subscribe you to marketing.

Netlify hosts the site and processes form submissions. Gmail handles messages sent to our contact address and any form notification emails we configure. These providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser details and submission time for delivery, security and abuse prevention.

Android beta invitations

If you ask to join the Android beta by email, we receive your email address and any details you include. We use the Google Account email you provide to arrange access through Google Play, send joining instructions and communicate with you about testing and feedback. We add that address to the tester list in Google Play Console; Google handles that information under its own privacy policy. Beta requests do not subscribe you to marketing.

Email us to leave the beta or request removal from our tester list.

Previous launch-interest submissions

The website previously offered a launch/beta-interest form. That form is no longer active. The Android beta invitation described above is separate. If you used that form, any information already received consists of your email, beta preference and consent selection. You may ask us to remove it at any time. Existing signup records are not used to expand your consent or add you to other lists.

Apple, Google Play, testing and external links

Apple and Google handle distribution and any transactions made through their respective app stores under their own policies. Calctric does not receive your payment-card details from those stores.

If you provide TestFlight feedback or share diagnostics through Apple, Apple may make feedback and diagnostic information available to us. Google Play may also provide app statistics, crash or performance diagnostics and testing feedback through its platform, depending on the applicable services and settings. This platform-provided information is separate from the optional in-app reports described above; Calctric does not include its own third-party analytics or advertising SDK.

Manufacturer, reference and other external links open services with their own privacy practices. Review the relevant provider’s policy when using those services.

No advertising trackers

This website does not add advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts or non-essential cookies. Demo videos are hosted with the website, without an embedded third-party video player. Hosting providers may still process access logs and security information.

Providers, disclosure and international processing

We use the information described here to provide support, manage beta access, operate the website and improve Calctric. We do not sell or rent your personal information. Service providers may process data outside your province or country, where different privacy laws may apply. We may disclose information when required by law or as reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse or security incidents.

Retention and deletion

Support and feedback information is kept while needed to investigate, respond and track an unresolved issue, then deleted or stripped of identifying details when no longer needed, subject to legal obligations. Beta correspondence and tester-list entries are kept only while needed to manage the test and related feedback, then deleted or stripped of identifying details, subject to legal obligations. Previous launch-interest records are kept only while needed for their original purpose or until consent is withdrawn. Provider backups and security logs may follow separate retention schedules.

To request access, correction or deletion, or withdraw consent for a use that relies on consent, email calctric@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity. If a report was anonymous, we may not be able to identify it. You do not need an app account to make a privacy request.

Security and policy updates

We take reasonable steps to protect information but cannot guarantee absolute security. Changes to our data practices will be reflected here with an updated date. Where required, we will provide notice or seek consent before materially changing how personal information is used.
